About the IEC Human Resources Internship

The Electoral Commission is offering a 24-month internship for a recently qualified graduate who wants to gain practical experience in Human Resources and Training.

The successful candidate will join the Human Resources team at the Electoral Commission’s Northern Cape Provincial Office in Kimberley.

Applicants must be 35 years old or younger and must not have previously participated in an internship or worked in the field related to their studies.

Areas of Training and Experience

The successful intern will receive practical workplace exposure and training in areas including:

• Recruitment and selection.
• Probation and leave administration.
• Performance management.
• Employee relations.
• Implementation of conditions of service.

The programme is designed to help recently qualified graduates develop practical skills while gaining valuable workplace experience.

Administrative Responsibilities

The successful candidate will also assist with general Human Resources administrative duties, including:

• Taking minutes.
• Preparing reports.
• Responding to routine enquiries.
• Maintaining Human Resources filing systems.
• Compiling and distributing documents and packages to stakeholders.
• Maintaining incoming and outgoing HR correspondence.
• Performing additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
