The Support Teacher Empowerment Trust (STET) is a South African non-profit organisation founded in 2017 to strengthen the country’s education sector by investing in the development of future and current educators. The Trust primarily supports Black South African women pursuing teaching qualifications through financial assistance, mentorship, leadership development and ongoing professional learning opportunities designed to help them succeed throughout their careers.
STET places a strong emphasis on preparing teachers for the evolving classroom by promoting expertise in Coding, Robotics, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Mathematics and Science. Through partnerships with education stakeholders, the Trust provides specialised training, digital skills programmes and practical classroom support that help educators integrate technology into teaching and learning.
