- You must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for English
- You must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for Mathematics
- You must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for Physical Science or Accounting
- You must be in financial need, with a family income of NOT more than R200 000 per annum (before deductions)

WHAT FIELDS OF STUDY DOES THE MOSHAL SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
The Moshal Program is inviting students to apply for their scholarship programme, for the 2027 academic year.
Scholarships will be awarded for Degree studies within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and Commerce fields, at selected universities (UCT, SU, UWC, WITS, UP, UKZN, UFS, UJ):

- Pharmacy (only at the University of KwaZulu-Natal)
- Veterinary Science

WHAT EXPENSES DOES THE MOSHAL SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
The scholarship will provide cover for the following expenses: full tuition funding, living and meal allowances and a laptop allowance.
WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE MOSHAL SCHOLARSHIP?
Students will also receive the following benefits:

- Career guidance, including meetings with employers
- Professional workshops and training
- Community access
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified via email.
WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE MOSHAL SCHOLARSHIP?
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

WHAT DOCUMENTS MUST I SUBMIT FOR THE MOSHAL SCHOLARSHIP?
Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application (the submission of these documents is compulsory - if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):
- ID document copy
- Passport copy and study visa copy - if not a South African citizen
- Parents or guardians ID copies
- Declaration / Consent Form signed by parents or guardian - if you are under 18 years old
- Proof of all Social Grants (letter or statement, not copy of SASSA card) OR parents or guardians 3 months’ bank statements from ALL of their bank accounts OR affidavit stating they don’t have a bank account
- Grade 11 November results
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit the following documents at a later stage:
- Matric final results - if currently in Matric
- Latest full university transcript of results - if currently studying
- Proof of acceptance/ provisional acceptance from your university
- NBT Scores, if available
- Proof of application for other funding (screenshot)
- Parents or guardians proof of income (payslips)
