- For learners currently in Matric, Grade 11 results may be used for these subject requirements.
- Mathematical Literacy is not accepted in place of Mathematics.
- Applicants must intend to study full time at a university supported by Sappi for the relevant Engineering studies.

Sappi Engineering Bursary Programme 2027
Sappi offers undergraduate bursaries to qualifying students who want to study Engineering or Forestry Science degrees at supported South African universities.
The bursary may cover tuition fees, books, accommodation and a living allowance.
The actual value of the bursary awarded depends on the applicant’s household income.

Sappi bursaries are available for the following degree programmes:
- Chemical Engineering - BSc or BEng
- Civil Engineering - BSc or BEng
- Electrical Engineering - BSc or BEng
- Forestry and Wood Science - BSc
- Industrial Engineering - BSc or BEng
- Mechanical Engineering - BSc or BEng
- Mechatronics Engineering - BSc or BEng
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 17 and 25 years.

Applicants must have achieved more than:
70% for Mathematics
70% for Physical Science
and
60% for English
For learners currently in Matric, Grade 11 results may be used for these subject requirements.

Selection Preference
