The NHFC Bursary Fund was introduced to assist students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may otherwise struggle to afford tertiary education. The programme supports the development of qualified graduates by helping students gain the knowledge, skills and professional expertise needed to pursue careers related to housing finance and the wider built environment.
By investing in education and skills development, the NHFC aims to contribute to a stronger pool of young professionals who can play a role in South Africa’s housing and financial services sectors.
The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed books and other study materials as a minimum.
Student accommodation and other expenses may be covered at the discretion of the NHFC.
The bursary award is renewable each year, based on the bursary recipient maintaining satisfactory academic performance.
