WHAT FIELDS OF STUDY DOES THE METACOM FOUNDATION BURSARY COVER?

The Metacom Foundation is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2027 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded to previously disadvantaged female students residing in the Western Cape, for studies within Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and related fields.

The bursary will fund studies at these universities in the Western Cape:

  • University of Cape Town (UCT)
  • University of the Western Cape (UWC)
  • Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)
  • Stellenbosch University (SU)

WHAT EXPENSES DOES THE METACOM FOUNDATION BURSARY COVER?

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses, as well as offer the following benefits:

  • accommodation, transport, and essential daily needs
  • ongoing guidance from industry professionals and previous bursary recipients through our “big sister” initiative
  • access to personal guidance, health, and wellness sessions to ensure your success throughout your studies

WHAT DOES THE METACOM FOUNDATION DO?

The Metacom Foundation is a South African non-profit organisation focused on creating opportunities for women from previously disadvantaged communities through education and skills development in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and related fields.
