Who can apply
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must be currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time, towards a qualification in one of the fields listed above
- You must be entering your 1st or 2nd year of study in 2027 (except for Climate Studies, which is only for postgraduate students)
- You must be studying or intend on studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
- You must have achieved the following results in the mid-year Matric exams, if currently in Matric and entering 1st year in 2027: minimum overall average of 70% minimum of 70% in Mathematics minimum of 70% in English FAL or 60% in English HL
- You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in the most recent exams, if currently studying
- Preference will be given to students from rural and township backgrounds

WHAT FIELDS OF STUDY DOES THE OLD MUTUAL IMFUNDO TRUST SCHOLARSHIP COVER?
The Old Mutual Investment Group is inviting students to apply for funding, through the Imfundo Trust Scholarship, for the 2027 academic year.
Scholarships will be awarded for undergraduate degree studies within these fields:
- Business
- Commerce
- Computer Science and related qualifications (e. g. Computational Thinking)
- Data Science
- Engineering
- Finance
- Management Sciences / Studies
Scholarships will also be awarded for Postgraduate in Climate Studies.
WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR THE OLD MUTUAL IMFUNDO TRUST SCHOLARSHIP?
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited to attend an interview. The Board of Trustees will consider the outcome of the interview and any other relevant factors when making the final decision on granting the scholarships.
