The City of Johannesburg Environment & Infrastructure Services Department is offering EPWP short-term contract opportunities to unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 35.

The programme will run for a period not exceeding 12 months and is aimed at graduates with relevant environmental, safety, conservation, planning and related qualifications.

Waste Management Youth Graduate

Applicants should have a Diploma or Degree at NQF Level 6 or 7 in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health, Nature Conservation, Occupational Health and Safety, or another closely related discipline.

The role will support sustainable waste management programmes across the City, including audits of Pikitup Buyback and Garden Sites, monitoring service-delivery and cleanliness standards, promoting recycling and waste separation, supporting community clean-up programmes and assisting with illegal dumping matters.
