What the Bursary Covers
The SAICA Thuthuka Bursary may cover the following expenses:
Tuition fees.
Books.

Accommodation.
Additional Bursary Benefits
Bursary recipients may also receive academic support through enrichment programmes.
This may include additional tutorials, study skills workshops and other academic development support.
Students may also receive social and emotional support.
The bursary also provides work-readiness and life skills training.
Recipients may also receive mentoring and counselling support.
Students may have access to a dedicated programme manager and exposure to experienced chartered accountants and business leaders as mentors.
Bursary Contract
Successful bursary recipients will be required to sign a contract with the Thuthuka Education and Upliftment Fund and NSFAS.
Bursaries are awarded annually and renewal is at the discretion of the fund.

Financial need as determined by the NSFAS financial means test.
National Benchmark Test results.
